Members of the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were again visiting our Warrington office today to make use of our confined space training facilities.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue practicing their confined space entry procedures
Watch Manager Paul Walmsley from Winwick Road, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service told us, "The guys have the necessary competencies and skills already but it is useful to be able to practice those skills in different environments. Having this great facility on our doorstep is invaluable and we're looking forward to returning in the next few months to carry out further training exercises."
Terry Byrne from our Confined Space Support Teams said, "We have a great relationship with the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and have on many occasions leant them our facilities. Our own confined space rescue teams have carried out joint training exercises with their teams, demonstrated equipment and techniques, and above all, both organisations have been able to share best practice with each other."
We look forward to their next visit.
